Andrea Mariani

Pianist

**Andrea Mariani** (b. 1996) began studying piano at age eight with Giacomo Ronchini. He continued his musical education at the Accademia "Giovani Talenti" with Claudia Boz and graduated with highest honors from the Conservatorio “A. Buzzolla” in Adria in 2015. In 2018, he earned the “Virtuosity Certificate Domenico Scarlatti” under Aquiles Delle Vigne at the Academia Internacional de Música in Coimbra. He is currently completing a Master’s degree with Roberto Prosseda at the Conservatorio “F. Venezze” in Rovigo.

Winner of over thirty first prizes in national and international competitions, he was awarded the top prize at the 2023 International Music Performance Competition in Florence and performed with the Mihail Jora Philharmonic Orchestra in Bacau after winning “Young Talents with Orchestra.” He was a semifinalist at the 2016 Panama International Piano Competition and third prize winner at the 2018 “Premio Rovere d’Oro.”

Mariani debuted with orchestra in 2013 performing Mendelssohn’s Op. 25 Concerto in Milan. He attended the International Summer Academy at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (2016–17) and studied with distinguished artists including Benedetto Lupo, Boris Berman, Sofya Gulyak, Konstantin Scherbakov, and William Grant Naboré.

He performs regularly as soloist, chamber musician, and with orchestra at major venues and festivals in Italy and abroad, including Teatro La Fenice, Museo del Violino, Rovigo Cello City, and Opera Barga. His recording of Silvio Omizzolo’s *Ten Studies on the Trill* will be released on Piano Classics. Alongside concert activity, he is also pursuing musicology studies in Cremona.
