Kiara Kilianska is a young Italian cellist. Born in Trento in 2002, she began her musical studies at the age of eight. She started learning the cello at the “I Minipolifonici” music school in Trento under the guidance of Barbara Bertoldi. She continued her studies at the “Francesco Venezze” Conservatory in Rovigo, where she studied with Luigi Puxeddu and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree with highest honours.

In 2024, she took part in the Erasmus programme at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, Germany, where she furthered her cello studies with Zuzanna Sosnowska-Garcìas and Mladen Miloradovich, and studied chamber music with David Quiggle.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, she completed her Master’s degree in Chamber Music at the “Francesco Venezze” Conservatory in Rovigo. In the same year, she was admitted to the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where she is currently studying with Giovanni Sollima.

Her musical development has been continually enriched through work with distinguished teachers. She has participated in masterclasses with internationally renowned cellists including Peter Somodari, Giovanni Gnocchi, Francesco Dillon, Zlatomir Fung, Jakob Koranyi, Johannes Moser, Edgar Moreau, Enrico Dindo, Luigi Piovano, Giovanni Sollima, Enrico Bronzi, Jakob Ludwig, Amedeo Cicchese, Paolo Bonomini.

She has received numerous awards at national and international competitions, both as a solo cellist and as a member of chamber ensembles.

Despite her young age, Kiara has already developed extensive concert experience, performing both as a soloist and as a chamber musician at concert series and festivals throughout Italy. She has shared the stage with distinguished artists including Leonora Armellini, Maurizio Baglini, Oliver Herbert and Ettore Pagano, demonstrating a natural affinity for musical dialogue and expressive exploration.

She has also gained significant orchestral experience in Italy and abroad, collaborating with ensembles including I Solisti Filarmonici Italiani and the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra under the direction of Nicola Piovani.
