Giulia Pianini Mazzucchetti
Violinist
**Giulia Pianini Mazzucchetti**, born in Poggibonsi in 2001, began studying violin at age 5 at the Fiesole School of Music under Martina Chiarugi, later continuing with Eva Erna Tsabo and attending masterclasses with Karin Regina Florey. She has received several awards, including the “Coccinella d’Oro” (2008, 2010), a scholarship for students over 12 (2014), and second prize at the *Premio Crescendo* in Florence (2012).
She has performed as part of the Fiesole Children's Choir, notably in *Die Frau ohne Schatten* with Zubin Mehta at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and has been active in chamber music and orchestral projects under the guidance of esteemed teachers such as Matteo Fossi, Riccardo Cecchetti, and Francesca Piccioni. As a member of the Orchestra Galilei, she has played in major venues, including the Vienna Musikverein.
In 2019, she began her undergraduate studies at the Fiesole School with Duccio Ceccanti and later returned to Tsabo's class. She has collaborated with the Orchestra Cupiditas and studied with Stefano Delle Donne, attending his masterclasses at the Festival del Golfo. Between 2021 and 2023, she participated in advanced courses with Ulrike A. Mathé, Timothy Ridout, Yair Kless, and Klaidi Sahatchi.
Since December 2022, she has been concertmaster of the Italian Youth Orchestra. In 2023, she received a merit-based scholarship with her Yugen Quartet, founded at the Fiesole School.
